Dirt & Delight can be found on Instagram and Facebook.

I must admit that when it comes to my sex life I haven’t made great efforts to go green, and so far I have not really thought that much about recycling sex toys properly. But I promise that will change now! So let’s look at some companies that will help you have environmental-friendy sex.

Mshop located in Gothenburg recently came up with a fantastic idea for more environmental friendly sex: they help you recycle your dildos! All electrical equipment – including sex toys – must be disposed of at a designated electrical waste collection centre, but perhaps you’ll find it embarrassing or difficult taking them to the dump, or perhaps you just don’t have the time. Mshop now offers to recycle your sex toys for you, no matter where you bought them. You can send them to the store, or hand them in yourself. Once they’ve received your used goods they’ll do the work for you, as well as give you a 10% discount code to use in their store. Brilliant!

If you’re located in Gothenburg you can read more about it here

Furthermore, they recommend buying environmental-friendly toys such as Gaia Eco, the world’s first biodegradable and recyclable vibrator. D1 Stone is another eco-friendly option that sounds very interesting indeed; It’s a G-spot dildo made of polished Blue Pearl Larvikite from Norway (also called Black Norwegian Moonstone). It’s handmade from pieces of stone that otherwise would have gone to waste, and it’s stunning!

Another good tip on how to go green in bed is to shop for organic lube and condoms.

I’ve already recommended Sinful’s water-based lube, but there are many options. Just take a look at the stunning brand Lovability Inc. that makes both condoms and lube, or the brand Jonny that make vegan condoms the most trendy item in your purse.

I did a little reachers to see if any sex shops in the UK would offer the same deal as Mshop, and I found a few options:

Vavven sells stunning ethical sex toys and provides a sex toy recycling program, where consumers can post their cleaned unwanted sex toys and they’ll recycle them for you.

Temptation direct will recycle your toys and then offer you a 10 % discount code sent to your email. Thumbs up!

You can also recycle your toys with vibrating parts (so no dildos) with Lovehoney.
